Both the novice educator and the seasoned veteran of many years can benefit from reflecting on the structured education that their clerkship provides. The latest in learning theory will be highlighted with an eye towards curricular development. There will be ample discussion of type of curriculum taught and how it is transmitted at academic institutions across the country. Two seasoned clerkship directors will share their experiences over time--what has worked and what hasn’t.
Strategies for managing faculty lecturers will be discussed. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with their fellow clerkship directors in order to reflect on how best to enable the crucial learning that needs to happen during a student’s neurology rotation.
