Neurocritical Care - Assistant Professor on the CE Track

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neurology with a focus on Neurocritical Care. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, research, and education. Candidates must be board-certified in Neurology, must have completed a UCNS-approved fellowship in Neurocritical Care, and must be board-certified or eligible in Neurocritical Care.
Clinical responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient work, including attending in the NeuroIntevsive Care Units at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and seeing outpatients in a cardiac arrest follow-up clinic at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Teaching of fellows, residents and medical students will also be expected through bedside rounds and through a formal didactic curriculum. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neurology with completion of a fellowship in Neurocritical care, formal training and experience in basic and translational neuroscience or clinical research in a field related to acute injury in the central nervous system, and an interest in clinical research related to the pathophysiology and outcome of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.
