Dear fellow AUPN members:
As a current member of the Association of University Professors of Neurology (AUPN), you have already taken a critical step in advancing and strengthening the academic Neurology community through education, mentorship and the sharing of best practices among leaders in academic neurology. You are a part of an important community who has voluntarily come together to shape the future of neurology as the voice of its academic leaders.
As such, our success is driven by member involvement, and we invite you to submit your name for consideration for open seats on the AUPN Program Committee as well as the newly formed Online Engagement Committee and AUPN Branding Task Force. Below please find a description and time commitment for each committee.
If interested, please complete the AUPN Call For Committee Volunteers form and submit your information to AUPN no later than Friday, November 1st.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE - Chairs Only
Open Seats: 3
Purpose: The Program Committee shall have the ability to propose and slate any educational programming and content throughout the year with the Council’s approval. Specifically, the Program Committee focuses on identifying topics and speakers for the Spring and Fall AUPN Chair sessions (held in conjunction with the AAN and ANA respectively).
Term: December 2019 - April 2023
Timeline: Meets two times a year- August: plan Spring Chairs programming to be held at AAN meeting (via conference call), December: Plan Fall Chairs program, SIG and networking lunch to be held at the ANA meeting (via conference call). Additional planning calls are held as needed.
ONLINE ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE - All Members
Open Seats: 4
Purpose: Committee members shall strengthen the academic Neurology community by facilitating social media discussions and creating online resources to increase member engagement.
Term: April 2020 - April 2024
Timeline: Meets every other month and as needed
AUPN BRANDING TASK FORCE - All Members
Open Seats: 4
Purpose: Task Force members shall review AUPN’s logo to ensure the image is consistent with the AUPN brand; review existing tagline and determine if it invokes the AUPN mission and brand; and develop a comprehensive strategy to raise awareness of the AUPN brand.
Term: January 2020 - June 2020
Timeline: Meets Monthly
