Saint Louis University School of Medicine, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, service and healthcare, has initiated a national search for the Sylvia Souers Endowed Chair of the Department in Neurology.
The successful applicant will oversee and provide leadership for all academic, clinical and research activities of the department. We are seeking a Chair who has strong and proven leadership skills in an academic environment, and experience in research administration and program development.
The department has as a rich tradition of commitment to excellence in patient care, service, clinical and basic science research, and education. There are 19 faculty members in the department. The department conducts basic science and clinical research in the areas of cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and neuromuscular disease.
We are seeking a distinguished academic clinician with a strong record of academic and administrative leadership. Candidates must have a M.D. degree or equivalent and must have academic credentials for a tenured faculty appointment at Saint Louis University. Board certification in Neurology and eligibility for medical licensure in Missouri are required.
