Dear AUPN Colleagues:
Included with your yearly AUPN membership, are several benefits including but not limited to: keeping you connected with your peers, advertising open job positions, and keeping you informed on upcoming events, newly appointed chairs, and other relevant AUPN news. Below are highlights of some of the many benefits AUPN offers you.
AUPN Job Board
One of the benefits AUPN provides Academic Neurology Chairs is the ability to post open job positions on the AUPN website free of charge! These positions are maintained on the website for three months to allow time to find that ideal candidate. Open leadership positions are also posted at the bottom of each Saturday email. If you have a current job posting, please complete the Job Listing Form and submit it to the AUPN Executive Office at firstname.lastname@example.org. Postings will be completed within a week of receipt.
AUPN Chairs Google Group
The AUPN offers a quick and easy way for all Chairs of Academic Neurology Departments to hold private, collaborative group discussions around any topics that are important to you. The AUPN Chairs Google Group has its own email address which is shared by Chairs of Academic Neurology. Discussions are threaded and you can post your questions, ideas or topics for discussion or simply join in on the conversation.
If you have not joined this group, please send your Gmail address to email@example.com with the subject: Google Group and the AUPN Executive Office will send you an invite. If you do not have a Google account, or would like to establish a separate account for participating in this group, you can register for a Gmail account by going to www.google.com and follow the instructions under the ‘add account’ button.

New Chairs Appointment
A substantial benefit of engaging with the AUPN is the opportunity to connect with those who share the prestigious title of Chair of Academic Neurology. We are committed to recognizing those new to this role as well as those who advance to other institutions. We notify the community when changes occur through this Saturday email and are seeking your assistance!
Please notify the AUPN Executive Office at firstname.lastname@example.org if you learn of new Chair appointments or if you hear of the formation of new academic neurology departments. We will make an announcement and will update our records so they, too, can benefit from connecting with others in the AUPN.
Thank you for your help and commitment to the academic neurology community!
Educational Compensation Survey
This is a reminder to please complete the A. B. Baker Section's survey on current practices for educational funding in neurology departments before November 1st, 2017. The A. B. Baker Education Compensation Project Team is developing a statement promoting education as a priority in neurology departments on behalf of the A. B. Baker Section of the AAN. The feedback they receive from this survey will inform their recommendations in this important venture.
Please do not hesitate to contact the A. B. Baker Education Compensation Project Team with questions.
