California University of Science of Medicine: Open Rank Faculty Neurology Positions
The Department of Neurology at California University of Science and Medicine School of Medicine is expanding its clinical operations and is seeking a clinical neurophysiologist and two neurohospitalists for our primary teaching hospital, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, and our affiliated hospitals: Chino Valley Medical Center, Montclair Hospital Medical Center, San Dimas Community Hospital or other facilities/hospitals as assigned. Our primary teaching hospital is a comprehensive stroke center and stroke hub, and our affiliated hospitals are stroke-ready facilities with interest in becoming primary stroke centers.
Candidates for the clinical neurophysiologist position require expertise in clinical neurophysiology, including all aspects of EEG, EP, NCV, and EMG. Clinical responsibilities will include attending the clinical neurophysiology lab and outpatient general neurology clinic. Candidates for the neurohospitalist positions require expertise in emergency and inpatient neurology, including stroke. Clinical responsibilities will include consultative inpatient neurology services, and EEG for patients in the inpatient neurology service from 7 am to 7 pm, 7 days on and 7 days off. The department has a telemedicine neurology service that covers the service after hours.
These are full-time faculty positions in a department that has a major commitment to clinical, education and research activities. There is no on-call coverage after duty hours. Teaching medical students and residents, and clinical research duties are expected. These positions will report directly to the Chairman of Neurology. Candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited neurology residency and preferably but not mandatory a clinical neurophysiology, neurohospitalist, or stroke fellowship, as applicable for the position, be board-certified or eligible in neurology and sub-specialty if applicable and have a full active medical license in California.
