- Physician burnout. This is a timely topic topic about which Dr. Sigsbee published an article in December of last year (Neurology 83:2302-6). The characteristics and consequences of burnout will be briefly reviewed. Specific strategies to prevent and mitigate burnout will be discussed.
- Advocating for neurologic practice, in particular academic practice. Dr. Sigsbee’s presentation will cover details of evolving threats to the practice of neurology, and currently active or planned advocacy strategies, including a consideration how chairs of departments may get involved.
There will be ample opportunity, at the session and following, for discussion of both topics with Dr. Sigsbee.
