LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport: Neuromuscular Disease Director

The Department of Neurology at Ochsner /LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana seeks a BC/BE Neurologist/Neuromuscular specialist for a full-time faculty position at an academic rank determined by level of experience and qualifications. The position comes with an attractive compensation package with guaranteed base salary as well as supplemental pay determined by productivity and potential grants. We are looking for a dynamic person to help in further development of our Neuromuscular Initiative including being the Director of our MDA Clinic and the EMG lab. We have a large patient population with neuromuscular disease through a broad
referral pattern which includes much of Louisiana as well as east Texas and south Arkansas. It is expected that the successful candidate will promote the development of a clinical neurophysiology /neuromuscular fellowship training program. This position involves an active role in medical student and Neurology resident education and to participate in the on-call schedule as well as departmental activities including supervision in resident clinics, grand rounds as well as didactic conferences. We are able to sponsor J-1 visas.
