Huntington VA Medical Center: Neurology (full time) opportunity

Neurology (full time) opportunity at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VAMC in Huntington, WV.

While this position will primarily engage in general neurology practice, subspecialty interest would be welcome. Our 80-bed facility (including a 10 bed ICU) has a very strong affiliation with the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. A clinical faculty appointment at Marshall University would be available. Neurology providers work with Residents in Neurology as well as Internal Medicine residents/fellows and medical students. The VA medical campus has expanded greatly with new construction and programs including a Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) and new Fisher House and other projects underway. Our facility has a diagnostic cardiac catheterization lab where peripheral interventions are also performed. Interventional Radiology, Interventional Pain and a wide range of support services are available. Four (4) outlying Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) provide steady referrals and support a growing telehealth program. Neurology providers are not required to travel to the community clinics. Applications from new graduates or established provider are encouraged.

Located in southwestern West Virginia, Huntington has all 4 seasons but generally no severe weather. Employees can reside in West Virginia, Kentucky or Ohio.
