Course Description
This interactive AUPN course will feature a diverse panel of women Neurology faculty with a broad range of leadership experience including as chairs of Neurology Divisions and Departments; Deans of Research and Education as well as leaders within national organizations. Faculty co-led presentations will help establish the framework, followed by a moderated interactive discussion. Presentations will each be between 10-15 minutes, followed by a 25-30 minute discussion.  Specific topics include the following:
 
Topics:
1. Developing your Authentic Leadership Style  (Dr. Claudia Lucchinetti)
2.  Building your Professional Identity (Dr. Laurie Gutmann and Dr. Maisha Robinson)
3. Developing Others: Mentorship-Sponsorship and Coaching  (Dr. Ann Poncelet and Dr. Sara Hocker)

Learning Objectives

  1. Building a community of women leaders that support each other to be successful.
  2. Providing frameworks/approaches/skills to further strengthen leadership effectiveness and influence.
  3. Leveraging the "wisdom of the room" to share and apply frameworks/approaches/skills to leadership tasks, initiatives, and  challenges that they are currently engaged in.
