ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR | NEUROHOSPITALIST
McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston's Department of Neurology is seeking a Neurohospitalist Assistant Professor, focused on the highest level of patient care to join our program in the Department of Neurology. This employment opportunity is for a neurologist with primary interest in providing acute Neurology care in an inpatient hospital setting.

Position Key Accountabilities:
The selected candidate will alternate weeks on the adult General Neurology services and the Neurology Consult services and provide on call services at various Memorial Hermann Hospital campuses in Houston, a large tertiary academic institution with future teaching services, for 26 weeks a year. There are no outpatient responsibilities. This position features competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to participate in research projects if interested.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) neurology residency program
  • Active board-certifications and licensed in the state of Texas (or eligible to be licensed)
  • Interest or experience in education and quality improvement is preferred
  • Outstanding clinical, interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with excellent administrative and organizational abilities
