UTHealth - Houston: Clinical Neuropsychologist

The Department of Neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston McGovern Medical School is pleased to announce a full-time Clinical Neuropsychologist position with the department’s Neuropsychology Division. Services offered by the Neuropsychology practice include neurocognitive assessment, psychotherapy, and cognitive rehabilitation. Patients served are adults with a broad range of disorders, including neurodegenerative disorders,  movement disorders, cerebrovascular disease, autoimmune disorders, and traumatic brain injury.

Position Key Accountabilities:
Clinical responsibilities would include up to five clinic days a week conducting neuropsychological evaluations. Opportunities to provide treatment services are available as well. Additionally, the program is involved in conducting clinically-focused research, and a candidate with clinical research experience is preferred. Faculty also contribute to the academic mission of UTHealth through the Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship, graduate student practicums, neurology resident and fellow rotations, and medical school lectures.


  • Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or clinical neuropsychology
  • 2-year formal postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology
  • Current TX licensure or eligible to be licensed
  • Board certification/board eligible in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology
  • Clinical research experience is preferred
