University of California Davis: MS and Neuroimmunology

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical Neurology or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full, Professor rank with training and expertise in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology.

Faculty in the Clinical Neurology series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.

For the Clinical Neurology series, a research or clinical translational background in neuroimmunology is required.

Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.


  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Board certification/eligibility in Neurology
  • Medical licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of California
  • The ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment
  • Providing high quality and compassionate patient care.
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to teach medical students, residents and fellows
  • For the Clinical Neurology series, demonstrated ability or potential to conduct scholarly/clinical/translational research and a record of publications in peer reviewed journals


  • Neurology fellowship training in Neuroimmunology (Multiple Sclerosis) or have 5+ years of clinical specialization in Multiple Sclerosis on or before start date
  • Evidence of success in obtaining extramural funding and/or administering clinical trials.
  • Experience with promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
