The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine seeks a collaborative academic leader to serve as its next Chair of the Department of Neurology for the College of Medicine and Service Chief for OU Health. The incoming chair will work with the executive dean, university, and clinical partners to expand and enhance a modern Department of Neurology that serves the community's needs in all missions.

The Department of Neurology is home to 24 credentialed physicians, 19 credentialed advanced practitioners, 14 volunteer faculty members, and 24 residents. The faculty members serve as leaders for several unique clinical programs, including the Epilepsy Center, the first Comprehensive Stroke Center in the State of Oklahoma, Child Neurology, and the Oklahoma City Veterans Administration Medical Center. The faculty members are majority women and represent multiple cultures and ethnicities, providing comprehensive subspecialty care for patients with neurological disorders.
Reporting to the Executive Dean, Dr. Ian Dunn, the incoming chair will lead and support neurologists who specialize in particular clinical or research areas. The successful candidate will be expected to grow the department's research portfolio and expand the department's clinical operations to coordinate care across multiple sites. The successful candidate will be an outstanding leader with integrity, intellect, and the ability to work effectively with numerous key constituents. Qualified candidates must hold an MD or equivalent medical degree, be board-certified, and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Oklahoma. Compensation, rank, and tenure consideration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates should seek to actively engage with the community and serve the state of Oklahoma.
