We are very excited about our first ever virtual AUPN Fall Meeting, which will be held in conjunction with the virtual ANA fall meeting the week of October 4th - 9th. Because we are sharing the same virtual platform, AUPN members must register for the ANA meeting in order to attend the AUPN sessions live.
Register for the ANA meeting at: 2020.myana.org. ANA Meeting registration is free for ANA members (join the ANA at ANA Membership).
The fall AUPN Chairs’ Sessions will focus on: How to recruit medical students into neurology (Oct. 6th, 10:30 AM EST), Fostering junior faculty development (Oct. 7th, 10:30 AM EST) and, Getting what you need from your Dean and from your faculty (Oct. 8th, 10:30 AM EST). The 3rd annual ANA/AUPN Career Fair (virtual also), will be held on Oct. 7th 6 PM EST, and the AUPN Small Department Network meeting is also forthcoming, with final date and time pending.

Here at the AUPN, we are focused on collaboration with like-minded neurological organizations which share our missions, and to which Chairs and other leaders of academic neurology can contribute. The American Brain Coalition (ABC) is a nonprofit organization which fosters cooperation between leading neurological, psychiatric and psychological professional and patient organizations to advance understanding of the brain, and to reduce the burden of brain disorders through public education and advocacy. The AUPN is proud to be a member of the ABC, and one of our AUPN Neurology Chairs, Dr. Matt Rizzo (University of Nebraska), is the current Chair of the ABC Board of Directors.
Today’s Resource Links connect to the ABC website, which includes a library of excellent webinars with some of the top thought leaders in neurology and allied fields, as well as a long list of grant agencies, as well as a page dedicated to COVID-19 issues. Also listed is the registration link for the excellent (and free) ANA Translational and Clinical Research Course for junior faculty. The neurological manifestations of COVID-19 are the topic of an upcoming ANA webinar on Friday, June 26 at 1 p.m., which is also linked below.
We look forward to seeing you at our sessions in October!
