The Neurology department at Carilion Clinic has recently started a residency program with 3 residents per year and has recruited the Chief of Neurology recently. There are exciting opportunities to expand clinical research including clinical trials and translational as well as basic neuroscience research collaboration with the incredible faculty at the VTCRI as well as the Virginia Tech University in nearby Blacksburg. As a member of the neurology faculty at Carilion Clinic, you will have an appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine located on the campus. Epilepsy- Roanoke, VA
Join our comprehensive Epilepsy Program team of Epileptologists, Epilepsy surgeon, clinical nurse practitioner, Neuropsychologist and all other supporting personnel. This is a busy inpatient and outpatient practice with dedicated epilepsy clinics, and epilepsy monitoring unit, critical care monitoring and several neurodiagnostic labs. Video EEG monitoring capabilities extend to nearly all parts of the campus. Experience with epilepsy surgery and intracranial monitoring is desirable. There are variety of research potentials within neurology clinical practice as well as with the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute located on campus and the Virginia Tech University located in Blacksburg. A commitment to teaching medical students and residents is required. Weekend and night call is divided among 10 Neurologists.
Headache- Roanoke, VA
The Division of Neurology at Carilion Clinic is seeking an additional neurologist with fellowship training in headache medicine to join our expanding Headache program. We offer the full range of services in our practice including chemodenervation, nerve and ganglion blocks, biofeedback and a dedicated IV infusion room. We work with the pain medicine program, which offers a range of services for holistic pain management.
General Neurology– Christiansburg, VA
Located on the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center campus, this is a comprehensive general neurology practice. The practice consists primarily of outpatient with inpatient consults. You will be a part of growing academic neurology department based at Roanoke campus of Carilion Clinic and will have option of working part of the week at the Carilion Clinic Main campus in Roanoke. A neurologist from the Roanoke is already working part time at this facility. And there is a dedicated internal medicine hospitalist program that supports patient management 24 x 7 while the stroke on-call coverage is provided by a dedicated stroke team from the Carilion Ronoake Memorial Hospital. This is a modern hospital facility with EMR (EPIC), PACS, 64-slice CT and MRI. The New River Valley is home to Virginia Tech and Radford University.
