From the President of the AUPN

The Association of University Professors of Neurology (AUPN) invites all Chairs to attend their newest session, New Chairs Mentoring Luncheon.

In conjunction with the AAN meeting in April, the AUPN will hold a New Chairs Mentoring Luncheon where senior mentor Chairs (3+ years experience) will meet with new Chairs (0-3 years experience) to advise and help with the transition into their new role.

The focus of the lunch for 2017 will be a general discussion on understanding what the new Chairs believe would be of value to them, as well as answering any specific questions.

At the beginning of the session, a demonstration of the AUPN Chair Google Group, which provides a way for Chairs to hold private, collaborative group discussions, will be given. After the session, senior Chairs will communicate mentoring support options to the junior Chairs based on their input.

We invite all new Chairs to attend this valuable and educational session, and request senior Chairs to attend if they wish to be a mentor.
