From the President of the AUPN

Dear Colleagues,

This is your final reminder to register for the ANA/AUPN Career Fair to be held during the 2018 ANA Annual Meeting. This Career Fair is scheduled for Sunday, October 21 from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM and will provide an opportunity for Department Chairs to meet with trainees and junior faculty to discuss current job opportunities.

If your department is interested in participating in the ANA/AUPN Career Fair, we ask that you please register by Monday, May 21st.

Each Chair will receive a dedicated table in a common space with a table tent listing their represented institution. During dedicated Career Fair hours, trainees and junior faculty will be able to visit your table to present their CVs and have brief discussions regarding open positions at your institution. Each table will be placed with enough distance to allow private conversions, and Chairs are encouraged to schedule follow up meetings with potential candidates outside of the Career Fair.  Trainees and junior faculty will be able to locate each table via the ANA Annual Meeting app.

There is no cost to participate in the Career Fair; however if you wish to attend other ANA programming, you must register for the ANA Annual Meeting.

Please know that the AAMC will only report aggregate responses to this survey, and you will not be personally identified in any analysis of survey results.

Please contact John Appiah-Duffell at with questions.

ABPN Survey

The ABPN is conducting a survey of ABPN certified Neurologists who may practice Neurocritical Care on their training experiences and ABPN board certification. As the ABPN does not board certify this subspecialty cohort at this time, all ABPN board certified Neurologists are asked to participate. If you do not practice in any Neurocritical Care capacity, the survey will be brief. If you have completed the survey already, please disregard this message as your responses have been recorded.

The purpose of our study is to obtain insights about board certification for Neurocritical Care and fellowship training experiences. This will aid the ABPN in understanding some of the issues that need to be addressed as we consider certification and accreditation guidelines development for the Neurocritical Care subspecialty.

The online survey has approximately 20 questions and should take about 10 minutes to complete. The responses are voluntary and anonymous.
